How my AI agents stay out of each other's way

By Brian MacDonald, founder of Ownbox ·

Two agents read the same document. One saves a change. The other finishes later and saves its old copy. If the newer work disappears, your setup has a problem. Here's how mine avoids it.

  1. Every save says which version it read. If the document changed since then, the save is refused, and nothing is overwritten.
  2. The agent reads again. It works on top of the newer version, then tries again.
  3. Agents propose; a person approves. Changes to my AI Brain wait on Approvals until I say yes, from my phone.
  4. Each agent gets its own access. I choose which agents connect and what they can touch.
  5. Everything is logged. Who changed what, and when.

Test it on your own setup: two agents, one test document, one change each. Does the newer work survive?
