# The machine

## sdk.machine

sdk.machine(slug)
```

The machine, by its folder's name.

Every machine starts here. The name is the folder's own: lowercase letters, digits and hyphens. Everything else is a call on what it hands back.

**Returns:** The machine, `m`.

Example (where the machine is defined):

```python
from core import sdk

m = sdk.machine("quote-follow-up")
```

## m.home

```python
m.home
```

The address of the machine's own page.

`/my/<name>` on the Ownbox. Every page the machine declares lives at it or under it.

**Needs in machine.yaml:** Nothing

**Returns:** A path, like `/my/quote-follow-up`.

Example (inside a job):

```python
m.save_setting("my_page", m.home)
```
